OCT (Optical Coherence Tomography) was developed as a biomedical imaging tool primarily for the diagnosis of retinal diseases. It has expanded into clinical fields such as ophthalmology, dentistry, dermatology, and endoscopy. Lumedica has developed a portable and low-cost OCT system that offers imaging performance equal to or better than commercially available systems, in order to accommodate a wide range of applications including clinical use, animal experiments, and general industrial product inspections.
